Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: Quiet and reliable, with fantastic cables Weakness: no serial cable included, plugs protrude more than standard ones I love this power supply. It is very stable no matter what I throw at it. It operates quietly without throwing off too much heat, and the cable system is great. These cables do take up a bit more room than the standard cables on most power supplies, but are obviously of much higher quality. The only complaint I have at all is that in my Antec P160 case, where the internal 3.5" drive bays are...

Customer Service = ???Strengths: Quality build, proper heft, great cabling, plenty of power for a fully tweaked system! Weakness: Proprietary cables can cost you more, SATA cables not included-but can get them free from Ultra's website. Overall a good buy if you can find one for $70 or so after all the rebate offers. Was weary of a "Powmax" made supply...then found out that Ultra sells these to Powmax so it's not made by Powmax...the quality certainly shows that. I would buy again! Update: I've now had the unit for almost 9 months, and it's worked fine since day 1. However, when trying to get a free SATA cable from them I had to...

Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: The most stable Power Supply I ever had. Very quite! Weakness: For the price should have SATA cable included. I tried my system with Max overclocked CPU and Video Card (P4 3.0c and Radeon 9800)with 6 fans on and Voltage readings never failed below specs. Besides a slight strange smell while operating on the fist couple days no complains at all. I Love the cable system you plug on ONLY what you need, for example you don't have to have that annoying 6 pins cable on your way omnipresent in any other Power...

Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: Modular cables, 500W continuous power, titanium finish, stable. Weakness: Thick motherboard and molex cables, only comes with 20 pin motherboard cable (not 24 pin), a little expensive Modular cables make this PSU easy to work with and give your case a clean and less cluttered look. Hooking up the cables were pretty easy except for the thick motherboard cable that is hard to bend. Also my case has the hard drives facing the side door so the cables get a little bent when I hook them up. My motherboard has 20 pin power connector but newer motherboards require a 24 pin. Sound...

Works well, cables can be stiff but pleased overall.Strengths: Nice look, only use the cables you need. Weakness: ...said cables are pretty inflexible. Make sure you have plenty of room to work with. Bought one while building a rig for a friend earlier this year. Will be building one for myself over the next few months and was pleased enough with my original purchase to give it another shot. Make sure your case is fairly large as the cables are stiff. Reliable from what I've seen.

ICEStrengths: slick, lots of power, very quiet, I get to sselect the cables I want!, O yea its slick did I say that already? Weakness: Man, this thing is so slick, Its really easy to get fingerprints all over this baby. So make sure you have some dry lense cleaning cloth at hand when your installing it. This is a top notch PSU. Very sexy looking too. So far no problems with it. They were the first to implement selective cables. I highly reccomend this. However, make sure when you are installing that you wear gloves; otherwise, you will get fingerprints all over this.

Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: way cool Weakness: price, huge cords This is the coolest looking and highest performing power supply around. But you pay for it. The current $30 rebate helps a lot. My problem is that I have an innovative case that puts the hard drives in sideways. The power cords have huge connectors and they don't fit in my case so I have to leave the side panel off. (I could always use the old cheap cords but then it wouldn't look as cool.) There...

Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: Use the cables you need. Neat wiring. Quiet. Looks great. Weakness: Cables are stiff. Kinda big. I bought this power supply from CompUsa for around $100. When I tried to install it in my case it would not fit because one of my case fans was in the way. With preiviouss power supplies this was not a problem but it was with this. I don't believe many people will have this problem unless they have a fan near thier power supply. Once I got it in i notice that the cables were a bit stiff. They...

Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power SupplyStrengths: The modularity of this product is a great concept. It will work well for smaller systems. Weakness: The cables are much too large and inflexible to be useful in systems with many components. The modular cables are much larger than those found on conventional power supplies and also quite rigid because of their casing. This would not pose a problem in a low end system with few components. However, in a system such as mine which has four HDD, two optical drives, the floppy, and an additional cord for the GPU, the added bulk of the cables overcomes their usefulness. Also, it does not... Ultra 500W ATX12V AC Power Supply
Strengths: Glossy titanium finish, modular design, UV reactive sleeves, copper shielded cables, quiet, dual 80mm ball bearing fans, easy installation
Weakness: Heavy, expensive paid $89(unless there is a rebate offer), rigid & extremely thick cables, a rather thin power cable for a 10 amp power supply, UV sleeves but no UV lighting??
Since this is a whopping 500 watt power supply I had to run a separate line just for this 10 amp power supply. Be prepared to pay an electrician for a dedicated line if you have an old house. I've received 2-6 pin xeon power cables when only one was to be included thus one less 4 pin power cable. No customer support from Ultra via email. Power cable is not UV reactive. To solve the protruding...
